A lot of people ask me if I were shipwrecked, and could only have one book, what would it be? I always say "How to Build a Boat"

Fleet Week 2017

WE ARE COMPLETELY FULL FOR FLEET WEEK!!!

NO PICKUPS or DROP-OFFS.
NO DAY STAYS.
NO – NOT EVEN “FOR 5 MINUTES”.

Guys, listen. We want you to visit, we really do. We’re in the business of selling slip space. But there are HUNDREDS of boats out there this weekend. If you don’t have a prior reservation, we cannot let you into the harbor.

Everytime there’s an incident it’s invariably someone who thinks that “Well I think it should be ok for me to just pull in, so I’m going to do it anyway“.

SO BE ADVISED! Due to the proximity of Naval vessels in the area, all mariners who are transiting the immediate area who are NOT guest docking at the marina will be restricted from entering the harbor..

Do NOT test the patience of the SFPD Marine Unit, the Coast Guard or the Navy. They will be circling our harbor like sharks.

Actual questions asked in the last 7 days:

-“Can’t I just throw out an anchor in the fairway”? (no.)

-“I can just raft up to the Sea Lions” (no.)

-“The Coast Guard will let me hang out in your harbor entrance right?”(Hahahaha…No.)

For those of you who snagged a reservation at the beginning of September below see two charts recently published in the Local Notice to Mariners, District 11.

Chart 1 2017 Fleet Week Regulated Area “Alpha”
Chart 2 2017 Fleet Week Regulated Area “Bravo”

All confirmed guest dockers will be assigned key fobs and a special sign to be displayed on their vessel that denotes their status as Guest Dockers at the marina.

IMPORTANT! All tenants and guest dockers must keep at least 300 yards away from all Navy vessels. You will be approached by armed escorts if you get too close …be respectful and know that they aren’t playing around!!
