California Coastal Clean Up Day

Join the 2017 Coastal Cleanup Day!

Be part of the California’s largest annual volunteer event!

In 2016, more than 53,000 volunteers removed nearly 640,000 pounds of trash and recyclables from California’s beaches, lakes, and waterways. Families, friends, coworkers, scout troops, school groups, service clubs, and individuals come together to celebrate and share their appreciation of California’s fabulous coast and waterways.

California Coastal Cleanup Day takes place on the third Saturday of each September, along more than 2,000 miles of coastal and inland shoreline. Check the local map to find a cleanup location near you, along with all the information you’ll need to volunteer this upcoming September 16th (9 AM to 12 PM).

The event is part of the International Coastal Cleanup, organized by the Ocean Conservancy, which is the largest volunteer event on the planet!
