Always check your currents and tides before entering the marina. Prevailing winds are N-NW along the waterfront. Winds generally are lighter in the morning, making docking easier.

Public Transportation

BART

Take BART to the Embarcadero Station. Go upstairs and cross The Embarcadero to the Ferry Building
In front of the Ferry Building, take the “F” line trolley to PIER 39 Marina.

MUNI

PIER 39 Marina is easily accessible from all points in San Francisco via public transportation. The Muni buses that serve the PIER are #47, 8x, and 39. We are very accessible. For specific route information, please call the San Francisco Municipal Railway at (415) 673-6864 or visit 511.org.

DRIVING FROM THE EAST BAY

Take the Bay Bridge to San Francisco. Stay to the left after Treasure Island. Take the first exit which is the Main Street/Embarcadero Exit. At the bottom of the off-ramp, turn right at Harrison, go three blocks to The Embarcadero. Turn left and follow the street one-and-one-half miles. PIER 39 will be on the right side of the street.

DRIVING FROM THE SOUTH BAY

Take Highway 101 North and follow the signs to the Bay Bridge. Take the 4th Street exit and veer left on to Bryant Street. Follow Bryant to The Embarcadero. Turn left on to the Embarcadero and go approximately one-and-one-half miles. PIER 39 Marina will be on the right side of the street.

DRIVING FROM THE NORTH BAY

Take Highway 101 South and cross the Golden Gate Bridge. Take the Lombard Street exit. Follow Lombard Street approximately two miles. Turn left on Van Ness Avenue. Turn right on Bay Street. Follow Bay to The Embarcadero. Turn left on The Embarcadero. You will see PIER 39 Marina on the right side of the street.

PARKING GARAGE

The PIER 39 Marina Garage is located directly across the street from PIER 39 Marina. Validation is available at any full-service restaurant when dining. Receive one hour of free parking before 6:00 pm or two hours of free parking after 6:00 pm.
