Visitors will see, hear and enjoy hundreds of sea lions in close proximity.  Through the years, these playful pinnipeds have taken up permanent residence to the delight of spectators and have become international
“sea lion-ebrities.”

FEBRUARY

PIER 39’s Tulipmania,
10 AM Tours



PIER 39 presents its popular Tulipmania showcasing thousands of tulips throughout both levels of PIER 39. PIER 39’s Tulipmania has become a favorite of many because of the unique tulip color combinations, and variety of tulips that are in clear view for the public to enjoy. Visitors are welcome to join complimentary landscaping tours each day at 10:00 AM from Wednesday, February 14 – Monday, February 19. All tours depart from the Entrance Plaza.

EarthFest

It’s so easy to be green. Come join Aquarium of the Bay and PIER 39 on Sunday, April 20 from 12-4 PM to celebrate ‘going green’. The festivities will take place at the Aquarium of the Bay and the PIER 39 Entrance Plazas. EarthFest is an annual community festival that celebrates our local environmental organizations and educates visitors about simple, everyday green actions that can help protect our environment.

Strictly Sail Pacific

Jack London Square,the 11th annual Strictly Sail Pacific, the largest sailboat show on the West Coast. Boat manufacturers and dealers, charter companies, and retailers alike reported a brisk pace of show goes traffic and sales.

Opening Day

A celebration marking the official beginning of a new boating season on San Francisco Bay. It includes a parade of decorated boats representing Bay Area Yacht Clubs, together with numerous “special interest” boats owned by various individuals and institutions in our community.

Fleet Week San Francisco, 4:00 - 7:00 PM

Fleet Week is the Bay Area’s opportunity to pay tribute to the men and women of our nation’s Navy and Marine services. Visitors will see ships dock-side while the Blue Angels and other aircraft fly above San Francisco Bay. Enjoy PIER 39's musical entertainment in the Entrance Plaza from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. On Saturday, October 4, Mitch Woods and His Rocket 88's will take the stage while Notorious will be featured on Sunday, October 5.

PIER 39 Pumpkin Pandemoniumm



Ghoulish and giddy behavior is part of the fun as kids in costume trick or treat throughout PIER 39’s Pumpkin Pandemonium. Children 12 and under are welcome to visit the shops, restaurants and attractions to gather their sweets. Pumpkin carving demonstrations, and face painting will be available, as well as photos with frightful characters. Children will be able to wander through the haystack patch to pick their one free pumpkin.

A multi-cultural celebration, PIER 39's Holiday Tree Lighting will feature Bay Area groups performing seasonal favorites from around the world. The enchanting entertainment will include holiday traditions from Christmas, Chanukah and Kwanzaa. PIER 39's majestic tree, adorned with 400 glistening ornaments, 500 bows and 2,000 twinkling lights will be lit at 5:30 p.m. in the Entrance Plaza.
